Famous Quotes by Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Talent Management: Boards Give Their Companies an “F”

In May 2013 the Harvard Business Review (HBR) Blog posted an article by Boris Groysberg and Deborah Bell:”

“What is top of mind for corporate boards worldwide?  In one of the most comprehensive global surveys of corporate directors to date, we found that they were very worried about developing and enacting strategic plans that will enable their organizations to succeed. And what did they say was their biggest concern? Not competitive threats. Not rising costs. Not innovation, risk management, technology, debt, or the regulatory environment. Corporate directors identified talent management as their single greatest strategic challenge.”

I encourage you read more of this excellent article that goes on to point out that “the vast majority of directors say their organizations are not doing talent management well. In fact, in two practices in particular — “firing” and “leveraging diversity” — many companies fail dismally.”   http://blogs.hbr.org/cs/2013/05/talent_management_boards_give.html.

Business Strategy Application Coming Soon!

We are excited to be designing our strategy application that maps closely to one we have been successfully using internally in our consulting practice for years.  Over time we have continued to make it more robust and critical to meeting the needs of our consulting clients.  Now it is  ready to be fully defined and automated into a tool every business will find imperative.

This strategy tool will align your specific short and long term project goals in human capital, talent management, and diversity and inclusion with your broader business objectives. With guided input the application will help you establish your objectives, goals and strategic drivers with metrics and action plans that integrate into existing work streams.  And most importantly, you will be able to generate scorecards and reports automatically that will provide complete transparency surrounding the progress of your strategy.

Check back in September for additional details surrounding this new product.
